I recently purchased some NOS backglass and one happened to be Fireball Classic. My question is did the colors really fade that much on these games? I felt like this was an early production or something as the normal yellow color looks more orange. This is the most vibrant example I’ve seen, but how can I tell if it’s original or if it’s a reproduction? It has the gray paint on the backside, this looks ordinal but I’ve never seen one nicer. Here’s a pic of my Fireball game for comparison, let me know if they used different color schemes or if they just faded?

Quoted from ForceFlow:

Usually all reds would fade, not just one section.
And no, the glass in your game matches what's in IPDB.
The red background you found could be a paint test or prototype.

That’s what I was thinking, the fellow I got the glass from had many early production/rare games. However, I just saw some pics of a reproduction Fireball Classic glass that’s available, which looks more like this color instead of the common yellow. So wasn’t really sure? although I’m very sure this is an original backglass. Just found this very interesting and wanted to find more info on it. I have seen a few Fireball Classics in searches with this more red background as well, I thought they could be sample games? Or, it’s that orange red color that fades before the reds, this NOS glass has never seen any sun light.
