Sweden, would love to come help, but you would have to purchase the plane ticket. I traveled through Sweden one time as I going across Europe.

That door slam switch should be normally open.

You're correct, it should be closed according to the schematic. I'm used to the delay relay used in Bally EMs.

Make sure your door lock is not touching / interfering with the door slam switch.
