I have a Fire! and noticed one of the connectors is totally gooed-out. Is there a spray cleaner I can use, or do I have to redo the connector?

Thank you.

Replace both sides of the connector along with the pins. You will never get them 100% clean.

Okay, will do thanks. Can you recommend a source for the connector ?

24 pin 0.62" connectors -> Molex 03-06-1241 and 03-06-2242 - those are obsolete.
Pull the contacts, clean the connectors and repin them.

Yikes - I guess cleaning is the only option short of a one off connection. Won't that stuff come back since its inside of the wire covering?
