Ya know these pictures remind me of my trip to Ireland a few years ago. I spent the night in a castle and I was exploring and went down into the dungeon that was turned into a bar and it looked a lot like your basement, I just loved it. You should call it your Gameroom Dungeon and put some cool stuff like that on the walls.

    Putting in the bar.

You could have mounted it higher than that.
(I always encourage people to try to raise the bar in whatever they're doing.)

    #107 9 years ago

Wow! Looks great! Very pub like. Love the look.

Edison lights up. Copper sink in. Focet in. Twilight Zone sign it's new home for a while (until a pinball machine is put there at some point in the future)

Thanks! I really appreciate that. It's been a lot of work, but a lot of fun too. We're happy it's almost done.

    The Edison lights are gorgeous.

Haha! Agreed. Nate from the Coast2Coast Pinball podcast pretty much said the same thing on his most recent episode. I should get a neon sign made that says pinball dungeon or something.

    #115 9 years ago

I like how your Twilight Zone Neon is kinda just lurking there in a dark spot. I agree, should have a custom sign with "The Dungeon" on it right over the door coming in.

    definitely.

and get a draw-bridge entrance too

With the rite design and color that would look great down there.

He can't do that, he has no moat.

    close enough

    #122 9 years ago

I could see that room having a coat of armor in it. Perfect.

    #123 9 years ago

What you really need is a light that flickers every 15 seconds or so. That always adds to the creepy dungeon atmosphere.

Well done though., Very cool space!

This is just plain awesome. I love the dungeon look to this basement.

I wonder if they make led bulbs that flicker that would fit in the wall sconces...I will have to research that.

    You mean like this?

Use a PIG II, upload script that causes the flicker just the way you want it.
plug in LED's to the PIG II, and voila.

I believe (?) folks here use it to cause flickering lights as mods in their pins. ie: Tron pin "FLYNNS" sign mod.

this video just shows the sign going on/off. but i've seen flicker versions before...

here's a fade effect with PIG II:

There's been a recent price drop too. Although, I think it might be overkill for making one basement lamp flicker

Thank you sir. They come in handy, especially with the possibility of tornadoes.

    #136 9 years ago

wow, sweet poker table. That room has so much character. Wish I were closer!!

    #137 9 years ago

Wow congrats on getting this done. You have one of the nicest basements I've ever seen!

    #138 9 years ago

    Wow, creepy basement door.

    #139 9 years ago

From the basement in 'The Amityville Horror' to this...amazingly classy. Looks like the bar we take our President's Day pictures in. Congrats!

    #140 9 years ago

The true sad day will be when there is no more room for more stuff.

    #141 9 years ago

That looks SUPER!!! With plenty of room for more pins. How many more ya thinkin about?

    #142 9 years ago

Amazing! So jealous! Congrats! Great game selection, too.

I can get one more on the left and 7 on the right if I move the poker table where the wine barrel is. If I move the poker table upstairs, I could put the 7 on the left plus 3 more where the wine barrel is. Most likely 14 will be the max...but I could do 17.

My long term plan (when I buy a warehouse or get some land and build a steel building) is to have 10 pins down here with the poker table and a sectional couch in the corner where the wine barrel is.

Thanks! I built the poker table in 08. I am related to Doc Holiday, so I made it a Tombstone theme.

Lol...that's a very good description. We've been working since sometime before Thanksgiving on it...so we are real happy it turned out well.

    #146 9 years ago

14 looks like they would fit very nicely.

    #147 9 years ago

    Fantastic! well done

    #148 9 years ago

Totally rad--I see a used play field siting there--watcha gonna do with it?

    #149 9 years ago

This is sooo sweet. Love how the basement itself plays into the whole theme. Does the sink at the bar hve water hooked up to as well?

    #150 9 years ago

I've been watching this from the beginning and it just amazes me how awesome it turned out. Great job!
