    Quoted from Rdoyle1978:

With respect, Dricore is supposed to be floating. In extreme circumstances, they do say you can attach to the floor, but doing this can wreck the benefits of the product, since the little feet are now pierced

Well that’s weird. Because the DriCore Products YouTube channel installation video says it should be secured with Tapcons.

The person asking the question said they were due for new carpet.

On the dricore website, under the carpet section is specifically states “To prevent panel uplift when stretching carpet, fasten DRIcore panels to the concrete floor with flat head 1/4" x 2 1/4" or 2 3/4" concrete fasteners every other panel at perimeter edges and one in the panel in the centre of the room. Use a 3/16" x 4 1/2" drill bit to bore the holes.”

Step 1, backup sump pump. Ceiling tiles and tracking and carpet were the major costs for me. If i did it again id consider spraying the ceiling but tiles look decent. I like 2 by 2 squares over 4 by 2 but thats just me.

My concrete floor was well poured when the house was buult, but still had lots of “valleys” after the floating dricore floor went in.
Walked on it, marked any bounces, tapcons went in.
    Best investment I ever made.

I installed dmx dimpled underlayment. Cheaper than dricore, I highly recommend it. You can get it from home depot. My only regret is not installing self leveling compound firsr because I can tell there was high and low spots when i walk on my finished floor

I dry locked the walls and floor. Painted the ceiling flat black. I insulated the walls, studded put up drywall. The fixtures in the ceiling disappear with the black. I'll eventually add a shelf along the top of the wall to set stuff.
