Hey guys, does anyone know what gauge and length finish nails are typically used in Bally/Williams cabinets? I'm guessing 18 gauge 1.25 inch long.

I've repaired and built several cabinets. Typically I glue, clamp and then nail with air nailer but usually use 2" finish nails. With cabinet sides at .75", a 1.25" nail is only going to give you around .5" bite....not really effective.
Thanks for the reply! I guess I should have specified, I'm nailing the interior wood rails and blocks. It looks like a 2" finish nail would go through both the rail and the cab by well over .25". Sorry, does that make sense?

This isn't really rocket science. The rails and blocks are 3/4" thick along with the sides. That's 1 1/2" total. If you've got 1 1/4" long nails, that should be perfect.

Thanks Bryan. I agree it's not rocket science but the question wasn't simply about length, but about gauge as well. It's a brand new cabinet and not something I prefer to determine by trial and error. Regardless, I already nailed it with 1 1/4" 18 gauge for anyone who may google this in the future.
