GNR is finally finished!!! Only took me two years, off and on to finish it.
This machine was given to me. Head had what looked like fire damage and it didn't work. PF and bottom cabinet was in great shape. Translite was missing.
When I first got it it wouldn't power up. Replace several SMC's and got it to boot.
Re-flowed the solder on all the boards.
Pulled, cleaned and checked every socketed chip.
Chased countless electrical issues.
Ordered new translite.
Pulled the PF stripped and cleaned.
Replaced a couple TIP36C's & TIP 102's.
Chased more electrical issues.
New translite was destroyed.
Ordered yet another..
Replace cabinet bottom.
Repaired all 8 of the DMD lines that were out.
Repaired head damage , sanded & primed.
Repainted artwork on head.
Translite came in today.
Called glass shop and had glass cut.
IT's alive!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Having a hard time figuring which machine's going to leave the lineup to make space for it.... In the meantime, I set it up in the livingroom so it can get some playtime....
