Maybe? If you have a lightweight camera (i.e. gopro), this would work fine. Make sure you throw a sandbag or something on the tripod.

That's still pretty heavy, so you may get weird wobble. But, try counterbalancing the weight on the otherside of the boom and you will probably be just fine.
