Planning to add one to my collection.

Which one do you think is better? Where the differences?

I am a very skilled player and love the challenge, but I don't like brutal games based on luck. Does FG reward skills or does it just punish you constantly, in a random or semi-random way? For example, I own and love BSD and TS, but I set them up right and not in a "stupid brutal" way. When I play well, I am rewarded, when I am off, I am punished.

What about EBD and FG?

Both are "can't go wrong" choices. I only give the nod to Flash Gordon on the sounds and art. Rules, shots and brutality are a wash.

Sold Eight Ball Deluxe, kept Flash Gordon. So that's my vote!

FG is a pretty brutal game, you can get punished for the shot you meant to make, but it's not random, just dangerous in a fun way.

Both are fantastic. FG rewards for good shots. It will flat out destroy on missed shots. I sold EBD and kept fg as well.

I wouldn't trade my EBD for 10 FGs.

Ebd is a great game with enough depth to make it fun
Fg is a deeper game that would be challenging for a more skilled play
Either way both games are great but but would decide what is more your style

I just picked up a Flash Gordon recently and I have owned EBD for a while. Both are a challenge and can be punishing, but EBD is a worse offender in terms of random punishment. The pop bumpers at the top result in many a house ball, whereas the exits from top playfield in Flash Gordon are generally a bit friendlier. Plus you at least have a chance to score some points up top so house balls are not as brutal.

Also on my EBD, the multiplier drop targets sometimes shoot the ball back down the middle whereas the Flash Gordon drop targets generally give a better return feed.

Both great games - but more randomness in EBD in my opinion.
