Have a WMS High Speed that has the feature adjust error.

The game had worked until a couple of years ago when it started giving this error.

There was no acid damage to either the battery holder or the board. It was very clean.

First step is I checked the batteries, and they were fine.

Second step was checking the holder, and it was fine a the board, giving 4.7v at the end of the circuit at the board.

Third step is I checked the U25 to make sure pin 24 was getting 4.x volts, and it was.

Fourth step was checking the RAM, and it was good because I got it to work in another game that uses 6116 ram.

I even tried to take the batteries out and put an NVRAM in the socket, but still couldn't clear the adjustment error.

I flowed the pins on the U25 socket someone had previously put on the board.

The error continues.

The next step, I figure is to test each trace coming from U25.

My question is, is there anything else that could be causing this error? Something simple that I might be overlooking.

I'm trying to help a guy out, and he is about 40 minutes away, so every trip I take over there is a hike. Thanks in advance.

The coin door switch have been removed, and the wires Twisted together and wire nutted. Once I unloaded the wire and separated them the game fired right up. I added nvram so the problem would never come back.
