I've seen lots of comments elsewhere that writers should be fired for letting Glenn die. At this point, I think they should be fired if they let him live. That situation would have been inescapable. It's also been a very, very long time since a core cast member was killed and imho Glenn was probably the most disposable one.

As for Rick's hand, this is where the TWD zombie rules are unclear. If they are all infected already, what exactly does it take for someone to die from exposure? Everyone who has had the slightest scratch or bite has died and turned... but why? If getting some zombie blood on an open wound is enough, then I think they should have all been f'd a long time ago.

Either way, I think this may be the best season of the show yet. The last few episodes have really raised the bar for both tension and action. The sheer number of detailed, gruesome zombies on screen is unprecedented even in film. I'm hoping they can keep the energy level up!

I know this is TWD, but according to the Zombie Survival Guide, insects, scavengers and predators will avoid all contact with infected tissue. Only a small percentage of microbes are capable of attacking the infected, therefor slowing the normal decomposition process. Yea, I've read that book too many times.
