Got a Fireball2 and sometimes the Little Demon "panic post" in between the flippers will fire itself, two or three times in a row. Checked for loose connections and switch gap on the Little Demon button, all looks good. Doesnt seem to be caused by vibration, happens at various times regardless of what the ball is doing. What should I be looking for? ( btw the game suffers from occasional phantom slam tilts also, seems to be related to the "A" lane rollover. Any advice there is welcome. Thanks!)

I had that. I ended up resoldering the wire running to the post and swapped out the center front slo-blo fuse for good measure. Problem solved.

I'm not sure about the phantom slam tilts assuming all is well with your PB.

The captive ball lights were way too bright for the plastic overlay back in the day and that piece often got warped because of the heat. Operators often swapped out those bulbs or just pulled a couple and messed around in the general area. It's not too far from the demon post wiring. Brittle dried out/exposed wiring could be an issue in that area.

Sometimes mine will fire by itself but it seems to be w/other solenoid activity. Usually just once every so often..........kinda like the phantom bumper firings aka vintage Bally............
