Quoted from WIZ:Harry Nilsson, the fifth Beatle.
Most don't know of him but would recognize his top hits!!
Son of Schmilsson - good album.
I thought Billy Preston was the "fifth Beatle" though.
Or was it George Martin for his studio production contributions?
Quoted from BudManPinFan:Amy Winehouse deserves a mention.[quoted image]
She was good. A sad loss to drugs.
Quoted from Pinplayer1967:Alcohol poisoning
Yes - that was her final cause of death. I was referring to her downward spiral due in large part to her heroin and crack cocaine addictions.
Quoted from oldskool1969:James Reyne for male
and
Tina Arena for female
They're not even the best Melbourne people , I would go Kylie Minogue and Shirley Strawn

Tina Arena brings back a LOT of memories from the early 90's.
She was easy on the ears and eyes!
Not the coolest list, but the best I've heard are,
Sinatra, George Michael
Karen Carpenter, Ann Wilson
I'm predominantly a rock-n-roll guy, liking female voices like Ann Wilson and Stevie Nicks; and male voices like Brad Delp and Lou Gramm. When I step outside of that genre, one of the best pure vocalists to me is Eva Cassidy. Her remake of Sting's "Fields of Gold" is incredible. She sang across many genres and was taken from this earth way too soon. In addition to the video below, Nightline did a profile of her in 2001 that you can find on the internet.
Nat King Cole is up there. Johnny Mathis. Chances are... Found a bunch of old LPs thrown out with some original albums by those two. And an Elvis album from the '50s.

Lou Gramm - one of the hardest vocalists to try and cover. Dude was amazing.

Love both.
Johnny Mathis has one of the smoothest voices I’ve ever heard.
He was truly marvelous in person and a complete class act.
