I always liked the one that had all the major species running around collecting DNA to discover the "origin species" that seeded all the planets with life, explaining why everyone was bipedal. Can't think of the title.

I concocted my own fan fiction story idea around that. The basis was the alien woman who's hologram appeared explaining what they did, was actually recorded as their homeworld was under a final, devastating attack by a Borg precursor. Seeding the planets was their way of ensuring life would continue after they were wiped out.

I am not sure of the episode but Q appears on the bridge buckass naked and looks over at Picard and says "Red Alert". Guess that is more of a favorite scene. I did enjoy the episode when Riker was offered the power of the Q.

Quoted from o-din:

I like the one where Kirk threw a rock at that reptilian dude.

That episode got me into Star Trek. My older brother always had cobtrol of the TV and made us watch Star Trek. I hated it at first but it finally grew on me after that episode. When STTNG came out I felt that watching it would be like cheating on the original cast. Hence, I have never seen a single episode of any of the Star Treks other than the original and the movies. Might have to check out a few of those epsisodes mentioned above, especially the Q episodes.

Quoted from TigerLaw:

Chain of Command is number one for me.

"Whenever I look at you now, I won't see a powerful Cardassian warrior. I will see a 6 year old boy who is powerless to protect himself."

"BE QUIET"

"In spite of all you have done to me, I still find you a pitiable man."

Quoted from Renegade:

Agreed. Looking now in hindsight that should have easily been a 2 part episode. They didn't build it up enough.
Also - I'm surprised how many people like Darmock! I always skip past that one. All the repetitious dialog drives me nuts.

Zinda, his face black, his eyes red!

I didnt care for Darmok when it was originally on TV, but when i rewatched them all again a few years ago I thought it was a really smart episode.

Yesterday's Enterprise was so good. They should have made a movie based on it.

Don't love it, but I see why some do. Hard to see how a society could only communicate that way, how do you explain the story in the first place to know the reference, but did like that it at least showed how the 'universall translator' was not so universal and not everyone communicates in the same way.

Hate it when in the TOS movie 'undiscovered country', they were using books to be able to speak klingon since they would know it was a universal translator if they sued it, okay, so you can't use the universal translator to talk them, but it could tell you what they were saying and what you needed to say back. Heck, we can do it in this century (http://tradukka.com/translate/en/tlh) And why would you need so many freaking books. Hate then they do really dumb stuff like that just for comedic or dramatic effect.
