So, in the spirit of the Favorite ball lock thread:
https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/favorite-ball-lock

I figured the next logical topic is sharing your favorite start of multiball.

Mine is The Addams Family. SHOWTIME! One of the best light shows and sound effects package for multiball IMO

#2 7 years ago

Gonna have to agree with SHOWTIME!

Some of my other favorites though are Metallica's Sparky mode, BLACKWATERRRRRRRRR, and GB's Storage IF the game has a shaker.

#3 7 years ago

On the proto roms of Addams Family, you would actually see Raul Julia's face animate and say Showtime! I can't remember if they took it out because of lack of memory or cause they thought it didn't look good. You can still find the animation on Scott's page. I like The Getaway, Shadow, AF, and F-14 intros.

MB monsters of rock!

#7 7 years ago

I also really enjoy TZ's multiball start. When I first played it, "Don't Touch the Door" was downright creepy!

#8 7 years ago

I really like Batman forever, lost world Jurassic park, Metallica, and Ghostbusters multiball start.

Star trek klingon multiball
Sparky

Both of these are greatly enhanced with a shaker

#10 7 years ago

Nothing beats TZ. Nothing.

Honorable mentions: Fish Tales and Sparky.

#11 7 years ago

Showtimes my fav. Next runner up is sparky in my book

Added over 7 years ago: Borg multiball in sttng has a great start too! I like hitting a triple jackpot before it even begins

#12 7 years ago

Taf is great!

I also really enjoy GB! one of the best MB starts in recent time!

#13 7 years ago

STLE/Pre Klingon multiball, also really like Khan Multi in the Shadow, but once I get my Alien then I think those MultiBall beginnings will reign supreme.

#14 7 years ago

F14 Tomcat has a pretty amazing light show at multiball.

#15 7 years ago

"FEEL THE POWER OF THE WIND"
"HERE IT COMES!"
*Thunder clap*

Interesting--I wasn't aware of that.

TOM has a nice buildup to multiball. Though I wish it was about 10% faster.

Doctor Who is great with the Mini PF moving and the Dalek freaking out at you.

And I can't resist quoting along the Getaway cop during multiball start, usually with some improvisations of my own.

Def thumbs up to TAF.

Totally doing the same everytime

Addams #1 by far..TZ and Totan wrap up DMD. System 11 honorable mention goes to Mousin Around. Older Bally goes to Vector.

#21 7 years ago

XMEN LE Magneto multiball, nothing like than getting all 4 balls on the spinner

#22 7 years ago

Addams Family, Twilight Zone and Whirlwind for me

#23 7 years ago

For me, Whitewater and Blackwater.

Addams Family and Two Towers on LOTR are my favorite non-liquid-related ones.

#24 7 years ago

Addams is the best for sure.. I do like whitewater and LOTR. Whirlwind is just annoying to me..

#25 7 years ago

EATPM. Awesome lightshow.....AND organs

#26 7 years ago

W H I T E W A T E R !!!!!!!!!!

#27 7 years ago

TAF and F-14 for me.

Twilight too..

Actually most of the Chris Granner games!

#28 7 years ago

All the monster bash mb starts are really great...
So many good ones i really cant pic just one tho

#29 7 years ago

Monster Bash mulitball /monsters of rock is awesome. The build up and call outs leading up to Crate Multiball in SS is cool. When you stack a bunch of mb's and hit the merlin shot on MM and they just yell out back to back shots with multiball madness is always fun

#31 7 years ago

NGG.

#32 7 years ago

Oh... I have one more. Stargate Sandstorm! I really like the light show.
faz

TAF - classic

Congo - reminds me of TAF, builds up through the inserts and the balls come out of the volcano.

ST - Klingon multi ball with the lasers is awesome

GB - Storage facility mutli ball is incredible...maybe my favorite

XMEN - the balls being released and spun by the magnet is perfect

IJ - released by the idol is great

MET - sparky is simple, but with the light show and sounds, the effect is awesome

#34 7 years ago

It's Alive!!!!

#35 7 years ago

BSD Mist multiball

#36 7 years ago

Forgot about that one. It's one of the more clever uses of a magnet for sure!

#38 7 years ago

POTC with the canon fire is my favorite.

EDIT - Oops, that's Extra Ball (thanks Maffewl).

#39 7 years ago

I do love TOTAN's evil genie bellowing "MMMULLLLLTIBALL!!"
But you have to give it up for Roller Coaster Tycoon 's terrified/ecstatic/giddy shriek.

#40 7 years ago

JP. When the T-Rex breaks through the fencing in the driving rain. If you have an amp hooked up the sound package is amazing.

#42 7 years ago

STLE - Klingon MB
TAF
TWD Horde

Those are my top 3.

#43 7 years ago

Releasing odin on Fireball of course.

#44 7 years ago

Agree, I think it is good as TAF

#46 7 years ago

Ghostbusters storage facility is definitely my favorite. The siren and flashing lights makes you feel like you are in that scene of the movie.

I also really enjoy LOTR Two Towers. "To WAR!!"

#47 7 years ago

+1
I love NGG's multiball start!

Also ROLLER-GAMES! ROLLER-GAMES! ROLLER-GAMES!

I think that is Extra Ball, but pretty cool I agree.

#49 7 years ago

IJ4 gets a lot of hate but the start of the ark multiball is pretty legit and it is what really got me in to pinball

#50 7 years ago

Smaug multiball on The Hobbit has a great start but you get it so often that it gets old.
