After seeing that Peter Fonda passed it reminded me of some cool movies from the 60s and 70s eras. Hope to see some good favorites here. I'll start with these 2.

    Dark City

Edit...... ok, 1998. Not really a classic yet.

Crossroads 1986. In this scene Ralph Macchio, yes that Ralph Macchio, has a guitar battle for his soul against the Devil's advocate, Steve Vai. Ralph is a trained classical guitarist which he uses to his advantage. Great scene and great movie that gets little mention these days.

Death Race 2000 is so completely over the top it’s awesome. David Carradine and Sly Stallone ham it up to the max.

They Live is often forgotten, that is 100% certified awesome classic. Roddy Piper our hero forever.

The noise and uneasiness of this film scared the crap out of me as a kid.

Love this movie, creeps me out every time I see it. Hopkins at his finest. Inspired Funhouse.....probably.

Wow. Never heard of magic but now I have to see it. Not sure if Hatari! is obscure, but it’s a classic that I love.

Hard Times, there's one I forgot about. I remember it was pretty good. Gotta watch that one again. Is Charles Bronson ever NOT awesome??

Of course he was in a ton of movies and many of them are not obscure (Death Wish etc), but maybe 2 more that might meet this requirement that I always thought were good are Mr Majestyk and Telefon.

Perfect movie for when you are feeling down. "My mother told me Elwood, in this life you can be oh so smart or oh so pleasant. I've spent my whole life being smart. I recommend pleasant."

    Quoted from LTG:

    Lifeguard.
    LTG : )[quoted image]

Hah, Lifeguard would never fly today. If memory serves, a thirty-something Sam Elliot nails some 15 year old in his lookout hut and then sends her on her way. What’s weird is that it was filmed as some perfectly normal “coming of age” romantic movie. The 70”s was different time that’s for sure. Gotta say BITD, that I don’t remember thinking there was anything wrong with the movie.

Did it bother anyone else that the VHS cover for Valley Girl featured some random blond chick instead of my crush at the time, the beautiful Deborah Foreman, who actually starred in the movie?

Leon (aka The Professional) is one of the best movies made. Features a 10 year old Natalie Portman, plus Reno and Oldman.
