    Quoted from TheLaw:

One of those movies I've hear of my whole life but never seen

You gotta watch that one. The hillbilly in the souped up Plymouth Fury scene is classic. The whole movie is classic.

My uncle was in this movie. He was a cop in Vegas and was in the scene where the cops shoot up the house.

Now that we're in to the 80/90s...can we discuss "Split"? Where my acid homies at?

    #204 84 days ago

Cool thread, love seeing the old movie posters. Nightmares and Terrorvision are two one of my faves!

Never heard of 'em. Now that's obscure!

I'll skip the Nightmare on Elm Street rip off but Terror Vision looks promising!

Terror Vision is absurdly cheesy which makes it awesome Nightmares is actually four short stories each one different, kinda like the Creepshow movies, worth watching! I like the video game story with the Bishop of Battle.

Dude STOP it. You must have seen Nightmares and just not known it.. Unless you've never seen Emilio face the bishop of battle?!?

Rare occurrence where the sequel was better.

Someone mentioned Death Race 2000, and of course that is an all time classic.

A couple other obscure movies from the same time period that kept me entertained.

This one is so good, it was recently remade starring Leonardo DiCaprio. And don't even get me started on A Man Called Horse.

Here's that acid movie for TheLaw. What a way to mess up a little kid's mind.

It was not obscure at the time, but Bullitt.

The chase scene only. The rest of the movie is a waste of celluoid.

    p973_v_v8_aa (resized).jpg

It used to be you could find the complete chase scene in one video. Now you have to look around you can find all of the different parts. And hopefully you can find one to watch that some backyard 21st Century cinema photographer has not butchered to shit.

I finally bought the DVD just so I can watch the chase scene every once in a while.

    Chiefs

    A TV movie.

It is a hard title to find. I pull this out and watch it once a year.

It is one of those rare birds, like Hunt for Red October, where the movie is as good as the book.

    Hoffa

THe critics panned Hoffa. I think it is Jack Nicholson at his finest.

You have to trust me on this one. One of the strangest, funniest movies I have seen.

I’m quite sure it’s not as good as creepshow but is it better than cats eye?

    Rear Window

    James Dean

    Grace Kelly

Jesus dude. Rear fucking window is NOT obscure.

Nor is Giant. Please get with the program.

What’s next? Rebel without a cause? The Ten Commandments?

    Quoted from CrazyLevi:

I think you missed Oscar nominated best picture, screenplay, and director 12 angry men above

Nightmares has the bishop which is better than anything cats eye has... Although cats eye has a cat. Nightmares also has night of the rat which possibly might not age well.

Edit : wheels finally fully off on page 5

Sorry but chase scene in bullet is maybe the most over rated thing in cinema history, that car is moving like 15mph.
    Any Friedkin chase is better.

    #232 84 days ago
    Quoted from LTG:

And Peter Fonda and Susan George.
    LTG : )

I was totally going to do Dirty Mary and a Crazy Larry! I saw it at the drive in when I was like, 7. And now I know where Bridget Fonda’s inspiration came from in “Jackie Brown”.

Obscure and hysterical rap mockumentary. Don't let the Siskel and Ebert two thumbs up dissuade you, it's worth watching for the soundtrack alone.

    Quoted from cottonm4:

The rest of the movie is a waste of celluoid.

The second chase, on foot, through the airport onto the tarmac I guess you missed that part.

The car chase is iconic, but I always chuckle when the Charger looses at least 6 wheel covers. The Mustang shifts way more gears than a 4 speed could hold.
