Watch them. Trust me.[quoted image][quoted image]
Love that line from Repo Man, "Repo man is always intense".
Ah the 80s....when Disney made outstanding films with adult themes & all geared towards children.....like the hellish mind-twisting ending of the Black Hole, the virgin sacrifices & death of Dragonslayer, and the general depressing & disturbing vibe of Return to Oz. Some all-time favorites from my childhood.

Quoted from dos_reboot:John Glover plays a great villain here!
He's so good in this. Classic flick, all the bad guys are great
Quoted from starfighter:1972 TV Movie-Of-The-Week ... classic and obscure for sure.[quoted image]
Svengoolie showed that about a year ago

Wow, with Vic Morrow! Used to watch him when I was a kid on Combat. In real life he died being decapitated by a helicopter blade.
Quoted from dos_reboot:The Blue Thunder post reminded me of another Roy Scheider movie.
From an Elmore Leonard book. John Glover plays a great villain here!

Another Roy Schneider movie. Not obscure by any means, but not nearly as popular as its predecessor.
I worked in a theatre when this came out. We were the only house capable of playing 70mm films. We had 6-channel surround running through Klipsch Heresy’s and huge Klipsch theatre speakers behind the screen.
The projectionist liked to set the volume at just over 100dB, so when Hal said, “3....2....1....ignition.....full thrust” and the camera cut to the rocket engines at full thrust it really put you back in your seat!

Ah yes, The Toxic Avenger. Fun movie. Saw it in the theatre before they censored the scene where his blind girlfriend makes him a sandwich and puts Drano on it, which is why he tosses it out the window.
Also I can’t remember if they censored the scene where Toxie pinches the bad guy’s hands in the fryer basket and you get to watch as the bubbling oil burns his hands to a crisp.
