Best cheerleader movie of all time. And could never be made today. Edit: I”m talking about the original version, not the toned down re-release.

A boy and his dog was awesome. I’m going strictly by 35 to 40 year old memory here because I only saw the movie once, but in a post apocolyptic world The chick was trying to make friends with the super smart dog and he was dismissive. Finally when she wouldn’t shut up he barked something at her like “shut the fuck up”. Loved the final scene. The dog was dying of hunger and the love interest said to Don that the Dog would have wanted them to carry on without him. The dog looked up at Don in desperation. Cut to the dog and Don Johnson walking off into the sunset with the dog saying something like “boy she hit the spot”.

Bonus points without googling, What did the canned food actually say on its labeling that Don Johnson told the illiterate trader was a can of peaches?

Odin surely knows the answer, which is why he should surely upvote my post on the greatest cheerleading movie ever.

Boy and His Dog. I've seen it a bunch, but it's been a few years. The name on that can is probably hiding somewhere. Something about it stood out. I do remember "farm immediately" lol.

How about a boy and his toy?

Ha ha, my favorite Japanese monster movie growing up, again 40 year old memory but speaking into his wrist watch with an odd American voice dubbing, the little boy desperately said something like: Giant Robot, Get up giant Robot, attack.

Oh, and even in the future with super smart canines, noone likes beets.

Honestly though, I can't go to sleep without leaving a little class. Hard Times and The Mechanic are definitely top of my list too.

    Amsterdamned

Corny Dutch 80's cinema at its finest.

Featuring one of the classic chases in cinema history: an insane pursuit between two speed boats through the narrow canals of Amsterdam. A must watch, especially if you've visited the city.

Best action movie I’ve ever seen. The sequel was great, too.

Here's another I haven't seen mentioned yet. A classic, with Henry Fonda no less. The bar scene with the shot glasses is one of the greatest movie scenes, ever.

    Neat off-topic thread.
Being swedish i´m not to sure about the definition of obscure, but i´m struggling to see how films like leon, the thing and escape from n.y. belongs?

    Well, anyway here´s my pick.

when I think classic, I think "before I was born", and first thing that came to mind is The Court Jester, Staring Danny Kaye, Basil Rathbone and one featuring one of the funniest word play bits ever "The pellet with the poison's in the vessel with the pestle; the chalice from the palace has the brew that is true!"
