Hard core porn is a different category. And yes, it is. The Cheerleaders is like Porky’s only from the girls perspective.
Page 11 is where this thread finally found its feet.
With the exception of KISS and Logan's Run (Really dude?! Shame on you!) I haven't heard of any of the turkeys on this page.
Phantom of the Park may be the worst movie I've ever seen, but not sure it counts as it was a TV film.
Highway to Hell looks like a must-see.
Kiss Meets the Phantom of the Park is the Citizen Kane of TV movies.
And you’re probably right. It’s likely not obscure enough, given that the majority of the US population surely knows about its existence and its relevance to mid-70s glam rock pop culture combined with low budget amusement park aesthetics.
Since the thread is favorite classics and not just the most obscure things that can be found I want to add in one of my favs. Most know of Jackie Chan and many of his movies but his 1980 USA big budget “Battle Creek Brawl” or “The Big Brawl” still remains pretty obscure

I live logans run. Campy sci-fi. Sign me up
Quoted from Daditude:I live logans run. Campy sci-fi. Sign me up
Yes. We rode our bikes 30 miles to see Logan's Run with free tickets I won on the radio. When we got there they had no idea about the free tickets but let us in anyway.
Went through the first 6 pages. (I need to find some work to do.)
It was around 50/50 for 'Obscure' and 'Not Obscure'. With 125 movies in each category.
I gotta go back to page one, but what a great movie Ghost Dog, the Way of the Samurai is.
You guys just keep on surprising me!
Quoted from cottonm4:It is an Australian movie. It is a good one.
I watched an Australian movie once. I'm not sure if it was good or not.

You haven't lived until you've seen this:
Quite possibly the greatest movie of all time and I was lucky enough to see this on the big screen during its US release.
Released under 3 different titles:
Return of the Five Deadly Venoms
Crippled Avengers
Mortal Kombat (with a K)

Quoted from mark532011:How about rollerball? The original 1975 classic with James Cann featured the far distant world of 2018 where all history is stored in computers and corporations essentially ruled the world (governments were sidelined)
The game of rollerball, essentially roller derby but with motorcycles and cannons is the star but there is a lot more here, when the athlete finds out the games are rigged.[quoted image]
You’re kidding, right?
Quoted from cottonm4:I don't recall this one getting a lot of attention. But all upper rated actors.
It was a good movie. 1992.

Seriously, it’s like a who’s who of Academy award winners and otherwise Shakespearian talent.
Inherit the Wind 1961
It is about the Scopes Monkey Trial.
I saw this when I was a kid. There was a chimpanzee smoking a cigarette. For the next 50 years I could remember the chimp but not what movie it was. I think Netflix had it up briefly a couple of years ago. I did not know what it was about but then I saw my cigarette smoking chimp.
Quoted from cottonm4:Maybe this is old enough to be obscure.
Dr. Strangelove.
sure is. I mean a top 20 most well known movies of all time but a tad obscure
That guy should have made a space movie
Quoted from BagAJellyDonuts:The Stooges and that flying submarine. Jason and the Argonauts, the sword fight with the skeletons.[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
Jason and the Argonauts is hardly obscure, as is any Harryhausen film.
Because of this thread, i bought kentucky fried movie on Ebay for $6. Anyone else see an oldie they wanna see again?
