Quoted from TaylorVA:

Been working on these whenever I can, but frankly the weather has been shit for finishing. Finally had a couple decent days this weekend so hit them hard. As they sit they have had 6 coats of lacquer, then sanded with 320 grit and another, possibly final coat, was applied. These are he initial 10 sets I had in the works. I have another 4 sets in the wings that will be getting dyed tonight or tomorrow.

Nice work!
I just got the final parts needed to complete my Fireball II > Fathom conversion. These will look awesome.

A little while ago I built a new light panel for my Fathom project.
A few people have asked for the file or measurements. I figured it would be easier to just share it here.

Follow this link for a DXF version of the file. Anyone with a CNC should be able to use this to make a new one.

Here's what mine looked like cut from 3/4 MDF and then painted and wired up.

Quoted from soren:

Have a game where both star roll overs at the ball capture saucers work in switch test. But non award points in play.
Can anybody explain this?
PS. It is test by sustained switch closure. Not a capasitor issue.
[quoted image]

Just gap the switches a little closer.
If you are using your finger in switch test and a ball in game play, my guess is that your finger is simply pressing the switch further than the ball.
Close the gap

Disregard last post.

I was playing around with Fathom this weekend and I think those two rollovers by tje saucers are merely to assist with the game logic. They don't 'score'... it's just a means of letting the machine know where the ball is. Sometimes they do generate a callout, so I know they work.

I finally wrapped up my Fathom resto this week. Tried to keep it as stock as possible but I had to go for the blue score displays

Hey Everyone,
I've had a few people ask for the CAD file I made to CNC cut a new lamp board for Fathom.

Here is a link to the AutoCAD DWG & DXF files as well as a PDF.
Feel free to download or copy anywhere else so it'll be available to anyone who needs it.

Quoted from swinks:

your game looks awesome drano

Thanks man! I love how smooth it plays too. This sucker needed a lot of dialing in... but it's just like butter now. All the shots feel so much better and that CPR playfield is a godsend.

That being said... there were some very specific adjustments required on the repro playfield. I should have done a better job documenting them, but just a word of warning to anyone using a CPR. Check and double-check those dimples and pre-drilled holes. The post markings behind the lower and top right pop bumpers are especially dodgy.
