I followed RGP way back when and the threads about reproducing the Fathom playfield with huge interest. I bought one of the original Halifax repros and am JUST NOW getting to the project. Sad, I know...
The finger/tabs on one of the star rollover inserts was broken in shipping. I popped the insert out and have a replacement. As some of you know, the Halifax repro, while not as perfect as what CPR pulled off, is VERY nice. However, there are a couple of specks of black to touch up due to screen printing misses.
Due to
-replacement of rollover insert
-a few minor touch ups
-original clear
I want to clearcoat with automotive 2 part. My plan is to block sand down the insert some so that it fits correctly, glue it in with epoxy. Block sand the whole thing with 400 grit for 'bite'. Touch up the couple of spots with a dot of black liquitex paint. Spray a mist coat and 2 wet coats of clear.
Does this sound correct? Thanks for any advice and for reading this.
