3ball is good. If you set to 5 ball , you should increase difficulty settings if possible.

I go 5 ball on EM all the time
1 go 3 ball on 99% of SS/DMD. Exception for me is Joker Poker because the rules were “meant” for 5 ball.

At home I like 5 ball on my machines, out in the wild I prefer 3 ball.

I set my games at what was the default when game was new. So 5 ball on EM, 3 on most SS. And yes, Joker Poker is definitely a 5 ball game.
