Quoted from snyper2099:So you are saying that faster pinball is always better pinball? I disagree but to each their own.
A whole lot goes into making a pinball good. Faster doesn’t necessarily mean better in my opinion. I think it’s just a novelty, like a cool toy. In case of JM, it was a nice surprise. Overall, though, I think JM is about where it belongs in the rankings.
Also...part of the reason for my question was to find out what others think “fast” means. I hear it used a lot, and I infer it to be “ball speed”. But then a couple of weeks ago I mentioned that I thought my Houdini was slow, and there was a minor uproar about Houdini not being slow...perhaps mine is setup wrong, but my Houdini has slowest ball speeds of all pins I’ve owned (but Still a good game that I’m not getting rid of).
Anyway...glad to hear everyone’s input. I really didn’t find Snyper’s post ‘deucy’ at all - he made fair points (agree 100% on FT) and I’m glad he posted. I really just posted the topic to learn from more-experienced pinsiders and gain better understanding.
