IM is in my top three all time......love it.
Had AC/DC Pro and sold it pretty quickly. To many "cheap" drains in my opinion. Plus I never really gelled with the rules on that one (yes I know I'm the exception here).
A game that has the same sort of intensity to me it TWD. It's different but equally brutal.
Tweaks I've made to IM that I think make it more enjoyable:
7 degree tilt (actually makes this game a little easier)
Set Monger to HARD (again makes the game easier)
Shut off the top gate. Makes for a real skill shot and adds more speed to the game play.
Add extra ball reward at 30,000,000.
Set lower outlane gaps one up from the lowest.

I feel like maybe I should rotate in a SM or something else with longer ball times. But it sounds like you aren't interested that type of game so this might be the perfect line up for you.
I also love fast brutal games and had a brutal lineup. I decided to pickup something a little easier and slower paced. Picked up a IJ and could not be happier. Just right, not LOTR long or deep but tons of modes and a difficult 1billion point shot to go after. Still have not gotten that.
