I am having sound issues on farfalla. I don’t know a whole lot but here’s what I’ve found testing. Looking at a sound map and running sound test All the 1408 DAC and 5220 speech chips sounds are working. It’s the AY-3-8910 sounds that are missing. I’ve also tried swapping ribbon cables and the issue still occurs. Looking at a previous thread I replaced the MF10CN chip in location 20. And also added another in the empty 2P position. Neither of these made a difference. I checking in the settings and background sound is on as well. Any other ideas of where to look?

I haven’t but looking at them. There is a socket for them, not sure if that means they were added later or not, and they look newer.

Does anyone know if the ay-3-8910 chip needs to be programmed? That’s where the sounds are missing and am thinking of ordering one but wasn’t sure if the chip needs to be programmed or is ready when I order it.

Also the two mc6821p chips. If I were to replace those. I can’t find them. Can anyone help me to maybe a link for both somewhere that I can buy. Preferable both ready as I have no way of programming chips.
