Quoted from Jazorf:If the bonus is at 1000,2000, or 3000 and you land in the advance hole, it will advance to the top but it doesn’t eject the ball. Instead, it will respin, score wherever it lands and then kick the ball out.
It may be that the game is incorrectly firing up the Spinner motor before it can complete the sequence for topping out the bonus. If your bonus is low it takes longer to complete the sequence than if it's closer to the top.

The Bonus Advance relay is what fires to max out the bonus and should disable the Spinner Motor while the bonus is increasing. Check that the Bonus Advance relay is firing and that the normally closed switch in the red box is opening.
