Stern, 2012Just a shout-out to another Pinsider, Kim at Kimballs.com for creating a fantastic and simple and easy to install mod for the AC/DC dancing band. This mod is a plastic piece with a LED strip that sits above the band and lights when they dance. Very easy to install (took just a few minutes) and is a great price $35.
If you don't see it on his website just email him and he will get one to you.

I think you are talking about the cover that you have shown in post #5. I'm talking about the lighting mod by Kimballs that is pictured in the first post. They are available from kimballspinballs.com. They are not shown on the website, but he has them available if you contact him directly. Just ordered one about 5 days ago and installed it yesterday.
The area behind the band does need a cover to look "finished" though. BTW your cover looks great, and I wish those were available but they are not. I'm having a similar one made that will cover that area (as well as this light strip mod that I just installed) .
Here's the cover (mirrored acrylic) I had made to compliment the Kimball light mod and cover the open area behind the band. I used a few bits of double-sided tape to mount it to the flange of the light mod. I have 2 extra - $40 plus shipping - PM if interested. (keep in mind that this is specifically designed to work with and mount to the Kimball light mod).

Actually it uses the existing flasher that's behind the band . The panel has a coloured window . I put in a red led flasher . Little bit of adjustment on the angle of it to get it to light up the entire logo .
Mine is made by the same guy who made Gorgar's as well except his has a blue window to match his Back in Black LE . I think Gorgar's is the mirrored silver finish on top but mine is gloss black ( bit hard to tell in photos ) .

I think this might work pretty well to light up the logo under the cover. Might hook it up to come on with the pop bumper flashers. It's on it's way (on a slow boat from China) - will post the verdict once it arrives.

Just sold the last few I had in stock & will need to order more laser cut PETG Plastics from PinBits before I can build some more.
Talking to a local Plastics place today & I may be able to include a Mirrored Plastic Band cover as part of the LED Lighting Kits if I get enough interest (10 + would be nice).

I should have more of the Band Lighting MOD's available - just ordered more Laser-Cut PETG Plastics form PinBits.
Also having PinBits send me some sample triangular shaped Mirrored Plastics for the corner.
I'll keep everyone posted.
I'm in... I really like the larger Red AC/DC logo square in the middle of roof.

A quick update: I've received the PETG Plastics from PinBits for the Band Lighting MOD & waiting on the Band Members Mirrored Cover Plastics.
