Has anyone added a fan in an early SS or Alpha-numeric machine to help resistors (or anything) dissipate heat?
When I bought Magic (Stern 1979) with a blown transformer, there was a fan mounted above the neck in the backbox. I removed, because I wasn't sure if it had been doing any harm, but now am wondering if it is a modification of any worth.

    Has anyone tried this?
Or is it simply not worth the effort.
