Quoted from lladnip:this your personal photo? i would have interest in obtaining some sort of a copy-
im restoring a screwball unit and it would be kinda a cool photo to possess
Sure. Glad to help. e-mail me at [email protected]
I used to own this game. One of a kind. Found in an antique shop near Hollywood. Donated to the Pacific Pinball Museum a few years ago. Not sure if they have it up yet. Good pinball movie. "The Time Of Your Life" with James Cagney.

More info. on The Time Of Your Life game. http://www.pingeek.com/film/time/time.htm
Quoted from Darcy:When Willie finally lights up the game, and rolls it, it even shoots fireworks out of the backbox. Willie was played by Richard Erdman, the Pinball Machine Maniac, also in the film was James Cagney, William Bendix and Wayne Morris.
Plus, two American flags pop out of each side of the head and wave back and forth. There were only small fragments of the flags left when I got it but I was able to find new right size flags and they were, correct for the time the movie was made, 48 star flags.
Richard Erdman is still alive and acting. I talked with him a few times on the phone about the movie and game. He was very helpful and a super nice guy.
Quoted from Darcy:I've watched the movie twice, remembered the back glass moving, and that link you posted was very helpful. Tried to freeze a still frame, off the internet of the fireworks and flags, but it always turned out to blurry. That pinball machine going off is kind of neat, thinking that this was done, just for a prop in a movie, way back in 1948.
Here's a link to the scene. Starts about 1:17:50.
Quoted from spfxted:Dennis, thanks for the great info about that photo and machine! Fantastic!!
You're welcome.
Still looking for one of the 6 giant promotional games that were made for theater lobbies showing the flick. One was here in St. Louis at the Fox Theater.
Most likely they all went to the landfill. I once had a crazy idea of actually having one built. Any carpenters out there willing to take on the project? ;_)

Quoted from gmkalos:Richard Kiel aka "JAWS" destroying a Space Invaders from the 1981 movie So Fine...because he tilted it lol!
Here's a link to the movie. The pinball scene starts about 30:30 and is mixed in with another scene. Ends about 34:21.
