Quoted from wellarmed:

How about the scoop switch ?

Agree. Test the scoop switch in switch test. If you don't have a manual, you can download one from Stern's website.

Quoted from whitedpalms:

I read the service bulletin #171 and tried both settings separate and together.

Did you update the software as the SB says? If not, do so right away.

Quoted from wellarmed:

Go in switch test and throw a ball into the scoop watching the dmd . Does the switch get activated and does it stay
so ?

Block should fill in with the ball in the scoop and clear with no ball. (might be wired NC) Two wires of the same color to a single lug is okay. Same color wires to different lugs is wrong.

A page in the manual will show you where the diode strips are under the playfield for each switch.
