Family Guy - fuse F8 blows when one particular coil is plugged in?

Fuse F8 on my Family Guy keeps blowing when I power the machine up - but only if the coil that raises the single bank drop target (Death, to raise the centre post at the flippers) is plugged in. If I unplug this coil, the fuse doesn't blow, and the game plays fine. Anyone have any ideas why this would happen?

Bad coil or bad transistor driving it.

I replaced the coil so I'm guessing it's the transistor - thanks for the input, much appreciated.

When is I ever the coil if everything is wired properly?

i had a knocker coil which was blowing a fuse everytime it fired. Actually replaced fused and ran check on coils and took video and watched it blow when the knocker fired. Disconnected and put new fuse in and did the same thing and everything was fine.

I then check the ohms on the coil and it was at 2.0 ohms when it should be the normal 4.0 ohms. replaced coil and it fixed the problem. transistor was checked and nothing was wrong with it on driver board.
