I enjoy both games, but for what it's worth, my wife and daughter hate Spider-Man and love Creech.
They enjoy the simpler rule set, and trying to "find" the creature. Neither of them like games with crazy multiball modes though, so that is probably also a factor.
Personally, I am a total sucker for beautiful art packages (and Trudeau layouts), so I would choose Creech over SM any day of the week. I do agree that Spiderman is a total adrenaline rush.
Like many have said above, try to play both before choosing; everybody likes something different about pinball.
