Iron Maiden: Legacy of the Beast (Pro) Stern, 2018

Is anyone else getting repeated failures when trying to update code on Stern Spike 2.0 games?

It probably took 30 attempts last night to update Maiden for me.
I tried on 2 USBs that I have used numerous times in the past
I tried both "quick" and "full" multiple times.

The first 29 attempts were in various amounts of "unpacking" before failure (i.e. sometimes only 5/1150ish other times up to 800/1150ish)

Finally got it to work but took a bunch.

Anyone else?

Any tips?

Is this just how it is?

I noticed it taking mutiple attempts on both maiden and GOTG the last few updates but never this extreme.

I've never had a failure on 10+ spike updates I've done

Never had an issue doing quick no vari

wonder if it is my USB sticks?

is that even possible?

Seems weird but people have mentioned that, don't know if it's just talk though

Buy a new one for 5 dollar and you know.

I hate to bring up an old post, but I am getting this problem on KISS. I have tried quick and full install, verify and not verify, windows and mac, and reformatting two different flash drives.

I select update and it starts the unpacking sequence, it goes all the way to the end of the unpacking sequence and then it says failure to unpack. If I hit retry, it automatically displays failure to unpack. I have to cycle the power and try a fresh start every time...

Any help????

Did you ever get an answer? Having the same exact issue on my GoT.

I have that issue as well on Jurassic Park and Stranger Things

What does it do exactly? On my GoT, it is also not saving high scores and shows scores from the previous owners but won't save any of mine.

On big code updates that drastically change the scoring possibilities, it resets high scores to the factory default high scores that have Stern employees initials. Some usb sticks to better than others. Best to use a brand new one without anything else on it.

I actually think its a corrupt SD card since it isn't saving any settings at all. Nothing to do with the update. Just not saving settings and new high scores.

EDIT: I was able to get an SD Card and followed Stern's instructions to make a new one. Worked like a charm.

I am having the same issue on my Rush Premium. Can you post the instructions by chancce?
