Quoted from LTG:

If okay with Bryan I'd like to contribute a couple things.
A Bryan Kelly original artsy fartsy pinball ball in a solid wood block

WTF? $2500 if I’m in?

#52 5 years ago
Quoted from modfather:

I would be glad to donate again for such a great cause. The winner can choose a shooter of any size or a custom PinCup for any game. If someone wants a custom PinCup , perhaps something personal or a gameroom name , I can make anything.

WNBJM please. (:

I will happily throw in a few boxes of multi-colored lancets for anyone interested and serve as a reminder about JDRF. While they may have little value to those who don't test their blood, maybe some high-end restorations could use them to remove dirt from a needle-head sized hole!

Friday morning BUMP!

That's a little weird, Brad.

Don't forget, auction ends tonight at 9:00 CST.

Yes, it is. Who will swipe this auction? Alice Cooper? Batman? Jack Sparrow? Houdini? Or maybe the one called Scott Danesi, who is known as totally awesome.

Yes he is, but I digress.

It's only money.

#64 5 years ago

Less than an hour left. Just a reminder, your bid must be made before 9:00 Central Time.

You know there’s a sniper watching with this much good stuff!

I’m sure you’re right. And I’m also wondering if it’s too late to change the bidding rules, but in the interest of charity it would seem that extending the bid 3-5 minutes from the last bid (even past 9:00 CDT) would gain the most amount for the charity. It would suck to see dollars left on the table.

#67 5 years ago

Seeing how losers in the last one still donated, I don’t think there will be anything left on the table. These pinsiders have proven to be good people.

Sorry but I won't be changing things now.

I am not sure what the term is to one-up class-act, but whatever it is should be applicable here. Congratulations!

It gets even better, Paul. Another Pinsider (not sure if he wants his name mentioned, I'll let him do that if he'd like) has been generous enough to donate $5000 to JDRF on behalf of Team G.

I seriously don't have words to thank someone who does that.

I've changed the title to reflect the end result.

$13,000 is the final amount raised for JDRF on behalf of Team G. The generosity of some here is overwhelming!

I can say is, THANK YOU, to everyone involved.

Here's one last pic showing another roller coaster 24 hour period in a 5 year old diabetic's life. Hopefully research will eventually be able to make that line more even. Maybe this app won't even be needed someday.

I have reached out to the winners from both auctions my items will be shipping out on Monday.

I can't speak for all but Pinside and the pinball community in general is far more than a forum and a hobby.

I’m not superstitious, but some consider 13 to be not the luckiest of numbers. To change that, I’d like to donate $1000 to bring the total up to $14,000. PM me if there’s a link or how to get the funds to you.

I am humbled and moved by you guys. Cheers all around!

Last year Team G was 6th out of all teams for money raised. I told my son my goal is to be #1 this year. Then he told me the #1 team last year raised around $25,000 (a few have corporate sponsors). I said, OK, I'm happy with #2. LOL

Everyone wins in this, no matter how much was donated.

I've dedicated the past 15 years of my career to helping non-profits and I can tell you that JDRF is a great charity to support.

Awesome job Bryan and those that donated.
Our youngest son is also type 1 diabetic and it is a hard lifestyle especially for these younger kids.
Beyond just the medical side of it .It is little things too like not being able to enjoy a treat sometimes when others can because it has too many carbs or they are running high.
Great cause.

HUGE thanks to some very kind and generous people, Team G has reached it's original goal of $15,000 so my son has raised it to $30,000.

Hey, it could happen!!
