Hi guys,

Having a strange issue I've never seen before with most of the solenoids on a F14 and am coming to you wise techs of Pinside with an ask for assistance.

Issue: 03A 05A 07A 10 12 13 Solenoids aren't firing in game or in test. (I circled them in the manual picture below)

Steps taken:
Tested fuses
Tested switches
Tested power at solenoids (there is)
Manually fired solenoids by jumping non banded side of coil to ground.

I've had issues like this before but it's always been a blown fuse or an issue where a wire fell off and the circuit was disconnected. I posted on the Facebook help group and got nothing.

I guess I'm hung up because I don't know the circuitry of everything on the playfield. Should I be checking continuity through the harness? The multiple relay boards are throwing me off a little bit, I just wish there was a schematic for the playfield so I can see how everything is laid out. What's my next step here? Thank you so much in advance.

I forgot to mention that I jumped the transistor tabs for those solenoids and got nothing as well.

Also the board should be good, it came from a working PinBot.

I'm seeing a pattern here. These are the non working coils. All of them use the relay Snubber board. (Subscript 4)

Subscript 4 states that they all are triggered by a relay on a relay snubber board on the playfield. I'll investigate and report back.

So my thought was it was the K1 relay board. Seemed like that was the issue. Installed a Rottendog MPU I had.... Problem persists.

From another Pinside thread:

"RELAY FAILURE MODES AND SYMPTOMS

Relay-related symptoms can be confusing because of all the ways a relay can fail. The following symptoms assume all related device components, wiring, etc are good:

- No clicking? Either the relay's internal coil burned up, or its MPU driver has failed. In either case, the full "A" side should still work, as that is the default path. "C" will never work.
- No clicking *and* no "A" side? See above, plus the relay's internal wiring or center leafs have worn out on the "A" side
- Relay clicks but only the full "A" side works, no "C" at all? Either both "C" side output fuses are blown, or the relay's internal coil is too weak to close toward the "C" side, or the leafs are worn for both "C" lines
- Relay clicks but only the full "C" side works, no "A" at all? The relay's internal leafs have worn out on both "A" lines
- Relay clicks but only part of side "A" works, with full "C"? The relay's internal contacts on side "A" are worn for one line only
- Relay clicks but only part of side "C" works, with full "A"? Either just one "C" output fuse has blown, or the relay's internal contacts on side "C" are worn for one line only
- Relay clicks but nothing works? The internal switch wiring or contacts have burned up (check all affected external devices thoroughly first)!"

My issue is some of A isn't working. However they are all the same circuit with the same colored ground wire. That's what I'm going to check next...

Aha! Found it! White/red wire was detached and hinding in the harness. I'll check the schematic to see where this needs to go.

Thank you F14 owners club. I see where this wire should go. For future owners that have issues, this wire is WRONG in the manual, it is written as a black ground wire, that is incorrect. Will connect it and report back!
