I've had the F14 Tomcat for 5+ years and no problems. But recently the lower left flipper gets sluggish after 3 or 4 games. Almost in slow motion. No mechanical issues everything moves smoothly without binding. I rebuilt the flipper (mechanical parts) when I bought the machine but didn't replace the capacitor. Replaced the capacitor and everything was good again, for about a dozen games and then started to get sluggish again.

Looking for suggestions. The coil is not new so that seems to be the only remaining piece to the puzzle. Time for a new coil? Anyone have any insights?

    Thanks!

New EOS leaf blades, very clean, plenty of tension holding them closed ?

Everything moving smoothly may be different from the coil pulling it in.

    LTG,

Yeah EOS switch was replaced when I rebuilt the flipper. It is in excellent condition but the first thing I tried was cleaning the contacts since this didn't cost anything and took only a minute or two.

    Thanks.
