I know it is not working but being described as good condition .
Two for sale on Kijiji Canada, look to be decent working condition with little pf wear and toppers for 2000 CAD.
900 is high for nonworking- just a new MPU is 350 on this game. Displays etc... Its not an A list title, semi popular yes, high demand- no way. There are usually at least 3 and as many as 6 games listed in the market place and game under 1K are common.
Sure- people sell pristine restorations for a lot more- but thats not even the same product as an unrestored nonworking game. I would honestly offer a lot less and see what happens. You will find another nonworking F-14 for sale very soon....
Its all down to how much you want the title and how much it matters if you get underwater on the game price wise. Could be dead batteries, could be dead MPU...
Well it was one of my patients and he is clueless about it ( me too ) but he wants it gone so I was going to offer 500.00 if there is no battery leakage. Not a title for me but I may use it then sell.
That 900 number for non working is about right, if the PF looks decent as well as the rest of the game. I have a nice player recently shopped with 4 complete flipper rebuilds that would be in the 1400 range. If you can get the one for 500 buck, more power to ya.
Bump:
I wanted to see if this had changed at all in the past 2 months. Trying to get a price for a working project, 9 on the PF, 7.5 on the cab, 9 on the BG.
Richard
What's the project part? It works, 9 PF (practically unheard of) 8 cab, 9 BG. Would it be near perfect with a cab restore? It sounds like 12-14 hundred to me. Maybe more, but traditionally it has been tough to get north of 1500 for am F-14

$500 is right on the money. the playfield will be worn i'm sure, boards are probably damaged from battery leakage. least at $500, you might not be into to much by the end and can break even if you ever want to sell. I've seen them at shows, working players condition sit for $900 and not sell. $900 for NON working? that's horseshit. You will be lucky to get 900 fully working.
F14 is a high production game (14,502 units), so they're not rare or hard to find, you'll come across them more often than not. A few years ago when I was actively buying/restoring, I came across more of them than any other game at sub $1000 prices in varying shape. That being said, non-working in any condition, except pristine, SHOULD go for under $1000 IMHO. Then again, I've been out of the buyers market because things have gone wacko in the past year or so, so maybe they're worth $10k now.
