Brought a customer his new WCS94 today, and found out his F14 Tomcat has a few issues.

Fixing the board set right now, but he's also got a broken plastic in the back of the playfield. Kind of hard to describe, and I don't have a picture of it, but it is literally the plastic that is all the way back against the back "wall" of the playfield, and is basically centered in the playfield as well. I'd guess it's about 6" from left to right, and maybe an inch and a half to two inches front to back.

Figured I'd throw this out there in case anyone has replaced their old set with a new repro, and has one to spare. I'm willing to listen to anyone who would sell one of these. Please let me know what condition it's in, and what price you'd be asking for it (shipped of course) and I'll get back to you.

Sorry to take so long to get back to you. Yes, that's the one.

As for the problem with your eject to trough issue, I'm not quite sure what to make of that.

You say that you can manually get the coil to fire when jumping the transistor ground leg to a good ground? Yet, in game play, it has a weak pulse?

I have just recently found a bad connector that caused a similar problem... I'd say that the logic seems to be working if you get a weak pulse, but that the connection isn't quite good enough to get all the juice to the coil.

I know that sounds simple, and may or may not have any bearing on the issue, but like I said, I've found connector issues to be the number one issue for bad or intermittent (weak) switch/coil/lamp functions.

Realizing it's a new board, I will say this with nothing against Rottendog. But I recently purchased a new NiWumph board that was faulty from the manufacturer... had a bad batch of capacitors on it, which caused all sorts of problems when installed in the game, and only after it warmed up!

Is it at all possible that your Rottendog board could be at fault? We take for granted that these things should work perfectly right out of the box because they are new, and granted, in most cases they do.. but for the most part, these parts are being produced by smaller companies, with small budgets, and of course, may not have the capacity, time, budget to always check quality control etc... Again, nothing bad meant towards Rottendog or their products. Just a caution that maybe the board could be the problem even though it's new. I have the experience to say it happens.
