Just got mine back after 9 months in for some board issues (only $400 tab as they worked on it in spare time basically), "C" in cat was dead on both sets, it was hitting game over after 3rd ball drain in multiball and the VUK was very unreliable....any way back home now and from looking underneath at the new parts the tech went above and beyond doing a few extras I'm pretty impressed! Pics on Monday after she's set up and a few finishing touches done.....after pouring over it for a couple weeks it had to go in, but nice to have it back! LEDS, new rubbers, plastics, flipper rebuild, flashers added back in and a few other things should have it back together and up by Monday afternoon, sitting beside Mr Ritchie's other Sys 11 wonder High Speed.

Garage painted! Matching walls to rest of house, flat black for ceiling, figuring to line pins on each side started with some Steve Ritchie HS, and F14! HS2 will be beside the F14 so Ritchie trio here...my F14, LEDs, Pinballpro, new plastics etc, playfield is still pretty decent this game is so fast I love it....used some headlight lens restorer on the domes worked great!IMG_0250.JPGIMG_0250.JPGIMG_0253.JPGIMG_0253.JPGIMG_0254.JPGIMG_0254.JPG

I put some on my Grand Lizard, you have to cut a piece out that's under the PF, if you want to move them to a different game later WPC etc, it would be underneath and not noticeable...

#485 9 years ago

Can do, where the pivot is bolted on the sys 11 is where I had to notch them out, but its well below the pf, u can see the 2 nuts on both side shots....here are side shots closed, and under pf shots, I do plan on doing my F14 with black mirror blades I am pulling from my MM after my pingrafix loot arrives

If u want it to stay try a 3M spray adhesive, used that (sparingly) on my Indy and Creech speaker panels. It's generally used for auto upholstery but work on pretty much anything.

I used a 3m spray adhesive when I installed my IJ jackpot panel and CFTBL taillight mod worked good and you don't need much

I've used Xpin in my system 11. F14, Grand Lizard, High Speed, Pinbot, Space Station, and a Rottendog in Swords of Fury. All very good, plus gives you a color option other than orange.

Tech help please.... Lower right flipper coil heating up super fast. Have flipper assembly coming to replace, but concerned on how it is wired. If someone can post pic of theirs it would be great for comparing. Also, any other things I should rule out? I'm thinking EOS issue.

#1961 7 years ago

Thanks, like I said I have new assembly coming, just want to verify for install. It's a fun game and stinks when you can play only 2 games and have to shut it down. I'll compare my wiring to yours when replacing. Thanks again for quick reply post.

If you want in on the new Pf, I think yesterday was cut off. But with the weekend, if you contact Peter he might add you.

I am having issue with lower right coil heating up fast during active game. Looking at wiring compared to lower left it appears to be wired incorrect. Is someone willing to provide some up close pics and list of where each wire is going from coil? At first I thought EOS was bad, but now thinking wiring error. I have attached how mine is wired since I bought it.

Yes, blue violet and one blue are swapped, that would account for the heat up.....some connection swapping coming up. Thought EOS at first but it registered in test mode. Will do some wire tracing, then re solder connections

#1973 7 years ago

Diodes are good, checked that first. Definitely wiring mixed up, will fix this afternoon.
Thanks to everyone who provided info!

#1976 7 years ago

All good, plays perfect, and no coil heat up. Nice to play more than 2 games before having to shut it down....now just waiting for the new pf to ship......F14 one of the best tables out there. First and favorite!

You'll regret that as it goes out the door for sure. I'm in same situation. Need to make room, but that one has to stay.

You beat me! Mine was on doorstep when I got home. That looks great!

TOM would be nice, I got the 3D trans, but looks like those are done.

Installed back glass, what a difference. Had to install brighter led bulbs to get the light through.

It is. The lines, colours are so sharp. The lightning bolt in upper left is very clear and well done too.

Quoted from Krupps4:

I’m far from an experienced restorer of pins, so does anyone have any suggestions for how to best restore the sides of the back box? You can see the sides of the cabinet are pretty clean. Are there stencils available? Decals? Thanks for any suggestions.[quoted image][quoted image]

Decals available. I’m trying to remember where though, they also had an alternate color scheme.

So, Pinsound announced Sys11 stuff in the works for 2022. If that is going to be back to F14, ther will be Top Gun soundtrack cuts getting added on mine for sure. Danger Zone? Plus others, so many things could make it in!
