Quoted from A1k71:

where can I find those stickers?

posted the wrong link here so i deleted it. the right link is in my next post or at ebay.com link: itm

(didn't mean to barge in to the thread. i just helped another guy find those stickers in a different thread. i restored an F-14 during Covid but just found this thread now. happy to assist if i can!)

the other guy was able to order stickers from this listing. don't buy them from the link you posted. it's a scam.

here is the correct link: ebay.com link: itm

is the switch for the habitrail rollthroughs? I replaced mine with these: https://www.marcospecialties.com/pinball-parts/5647-12693-01

Quoted from Rcrain82:

That’s them but there discontinued everywhere I look

yeah the one i had to replace was discontinued as well. 35 years is a long time. it was a pain in the ass but the metal arm literally snapped, two balls got stuck in that left pocket because the machine didn't know they were both there and the coil snapped its bracket trying to kick them both out

Quoted from ita47:

I am looking for the sticker kit for the upper clear plastics that Dreg604 was selling. I sent him a PM but he hasn't been on since Nov 9th. Does anyone have an extra set for sale?

are what i used to redo my plastics

#5034 2 years ago

lol those 6 on the back are the only ones on the playfield I didn't redo with NOS because getting the rivets out of the structural pieces of the playfield plastics in order to reuse them was an utter, absolute, bitch

#5042 2 years ago

it's not really a ball save; you get it only on ball 3 and only if your other two balls didn't meet a minimum threshold of play time:

...and optionally on the Yagov kicker:

i was very happy with Comet's kit and service- they basically sent me a whole new kit after we realized i needed bayonet bulbs because i had sockets and not boards. their recommendation to put pink led's under the orange inserts is a great one, by the way

not sure why the pic looks so blue but the pinshield i ordered in place of the 'i survived '85' blanket i'd been using to keep dust off the glass looks great!

what do you mean real

#5210 1 year ago

engineering a solution that uses 3 motors, one per beacon, almost seems simpler than trying to recreate the janky ass belt-driven mess that is that assembly

#5256 1 year ago

i had your exact same problem and i know it's anecdotal but once the left pocket kicker coil snapped the bracket holding it trying to kick out two balls again and again and again the problem turned out to the be the rollthrough sensor on the wireform leading to that left pocket. the switch is https://www.marcospecialties.com/pinball-parts/5647-12693-01

if i remember right from my time with the game, F-14 Tomcat does some heavy compensating when it thinks the game is broken in some way, or it's not getting input from a certain switch. i never could ever figure out why sometimes the second lock would go in the right pocket and sometimes the left *shrug*

Quoted from slochar:

It decides which side based on the tomcat targets it puts the ball on the side of the targets you need more of.
This way when it fires out you can shoot at them with the opposite flipper.

that's badass, thanks for sharing

the best i could come up with was that Williams was maybe trying to distribute the load more evenly between those two coils but the underside of that game doesn't really speak to much foresight about operator friendliness lol

glad you figured it out

Quoted from Clytor:

Does anyone happen to know the part number for the two lock eject coil brackets in the center of the playfield. I'm having a hard time finding them for some reason.

i had to buy the whole coil assembly when mine broke. couldn't find just the bracket
