And mine, with LEDs and a small mod.

Flashers work great and you do not have to remove the warming resistors IF you leave incandescent in the backboard of the PF to load down the circuit.

Here is my F-14 in attract mode. Sometime when I get the chance I'll take a vid out with it in OMFGMYEYES when it goes into multiball.

Here is a vid of how to back out the old service bulletin and put your missing flashers back in.

Don't make the models, they are cheap enough on Ebay/Amazon and the correct scale..

Quoted from Industen:

Any ideas on sound?

Definitely play Kenny Loggin's Danger Zone when ball is in trough waiting to fire.

Here is my topper... Well, actually ceiling-hanger... The machine already has a topper. I need to do some repair to the landing gear, I was doing some ceiling work and snapped the mono-filament...

Quoted from Ghoen:

Is there every any problems with light from the beacons shining on the back glass?

Yep. On mine I used thin tin flashing slid in on the underside between the beacon mounts and the inner top of the head..

When a target is leaning one way or the other or just mildly out of line it is usually because one of the two rivets on the underside that holds it vertical, have popped out.

When that happens you get this...

Here is what my F-14 looks like with full LED's.

All playfield and most backglass flashers are converted to LED. The backboard flashers are still incandescent so I do not have to remove warming resistors.

All condom'd bulbs removed and color matched to Frosted LED.

I'll update the vid eventually as I have also replaced the flipper rubbers with Super Bands (red on left, blue on right) as well as finished the red on the left, blue on the right GI lighting (AKA: Transformer Style)

Quoted from Averell:

But you have to keep in mind that you have to install some standard lights into the circuit to prevent "spirit lights" by the led.

Only if you leave the warming resistors in. If you disable them then you can fully LED your flashers. There are many thread on this so I won't go into it.

For those I used LED in all and saw no issues.

This vid was before I swapped out the flipper rubber and added more LED's to the GI.

Seems clean is not enough. Strip that topside a bit and do a real good cleaning and waxing.

You can fix the raised inverts from behind. Removing Mylar from an f14 may not leave you much in the way of insert decals left
