I picked up an F14 yesterday and spent some time going over it today, replaced some rubbers, changed the balls, swapped out some the burned out lamps to leds.

I noticed that the two of the flasher domes in the upper playfield don’t actually have flasher bulb sockets. Is this by design?

The playfield is in pretty rough shape, not a whole lot of paint loss but there are a ton of ball swirls. Is my best bet for removing them a magic eraser and alcohol?

The inserts are missing a lot of their decals, what’s my best bet to remove the decal layer? Just scrape them off?

Thanks! I’ll dive deeper into Vids thread. This is my first attempt at a playfield refurb, so want to make sure I do it justice.

I'm in the process of repairing my playfield and I noticed that a few of my blue arrowheads have some hairline cracks. I've looked on marco and pinball life for them but can't seem to find replacements. Do they exist anywhere?

Quoted from Phantasize:

I ordered a complete set from planetary pinball supply. A little expensive with shipping and customs though...

Great, thanks for the link. I ordered a set. Shipping to Canada wasn't too bad via regular mail, 13 bucks.

Does anyone sell a diverter clear plastic cover? I see some people have a cover with a decal on it.

I hooked up a pinduino into the flasher board and placed an addressable LED strip along the top part of the diverter to make that area a bit more dynamic so I’d like to keep the diverter visible but covered so it looks a bit more finished.

Also I posted in tech, but maybe someone here can help me track down the last gremlin in my machine. My 1K and upper right T won’t light up and I can’t figure out why. I tried reseating the plugs as someone suggested but to no avail. What else can I check?

Quoted from GRUMPY:

Test the diodes.

Good call, they were bad. Replaced the two and now I'm in business. Thanks!
