All condition even..although WW is about $500 more. What is the better game?

#2 11 years ago

Sorry if i gave the wrong abbreviation..This is a Whirlwind....not a Waterworld

#3 11 years ago

WW. This isn't even a contest. Then again, it matters what *you* think, not us.

#4 11 years ago

Pretty much what wx just said. I like both games quite a bit, but WW is more suitable as a machine to own for me. WW also has the advantage of being easier to trade / sell down the road.

Not even close, Whirlwind by a million miles...

whirlwind

Whirlwind hands down. Incredible machine...it's hard for me to rank my machines, but I may go so far as to call in my favorite one.

f14 for me,incredible light show.

#9 11 years ago

respectfully thank you all for you feedback.

You should buy the F-14, so I have a better chance to find a Whirlwind.
Both great games, you can't go wrong.

Like others said, both are awesome (I own a F-14) but if someone offered to trade me a whirlwind for it I would.

As a Whirlwind owner, I'd totally agree.

This is probably all the confirmation you need.

Best of luck with the decision-making and pin-searching!

Apples and Oranges IMO. Both are really good for their time, but Whirlwind will be the better "home" machine in the long run. Whirlwind has a bit more going on in its rules and features than F-14, which can go a long way in a house environment, but F-14 is geared more towards being quicker and more brutal in nature (but fair). So, depends on what you want.

Play both.

F14 is the Iron Man of the 80's; WW is the Tron of the 80's. I think they're both about equally great to play, but WW has the fan and better art than F14.

#16 11 years ago

I haven't played much F14, but considering WW blows away most DMDs (pun intended), it's no contest.

#17 11 years ago

I own a nice F14.....and would own a WW over it ANYDAY. Fantastic game!

#18 11 years ago

Funny how nobody really cared about Whirlwind years ago, now it's the "in" thing. We always avoided that game with the goofy spinning plates that Fwith the ball.

#19 11 years ago

Whirlwind 1,000% for sure ove F-14.

#20 11 years ago

I have both - no comparison. WW by a mile. One of the best Syt. 11 game.

#21 11 years ago

Whirlwind,no question.

#22 11 years ago

F-14 Tomcat!!! Why? It's Steve Ritchie's best non-DMD pin.

#23 11 years ago

F-14 Tomcat vs Whirlwind is just Steve Ritchie vs. Pat Lawlor, most of all.

#24 11 years ago

F-14 for me...Had both, WW is gone! F-14 not going anywhere... getting ready to get a PF swap with a PF I restored a couple years ago just haven't been able to bring myself to take it out of the line up long enough to do it!! Great playing game, great sounds and light show!

I like both machines, but whirlwind is the better one

#26 11 years ago

Another Whirlwind vote here but I think you have a pretty good idea what the consensys says.

#27 11 years ago

I do. Thank you all for taking the time to respond! Now if I can only talk the wife into letting me by both...
