Hi,

My F14 Tomcat is in German, so I did some research, and found out that early system 11 games need to have a jumper installed on W7 for it to be in English. Is this also the case with the F14?

There's me, thinking I need a jumper block like in a computer, but it looks like you need to bridge the two solder points with a wire (and it currently looks like it has been cut off).

I just want to make sure, before I take the board out!

Thanks

I don't have the game, but the manual seems to show that Adjustment No. 51 is English/German.
Looks like no wiring needed.

Danke!

Didnt even notice it in the manual. I have yet to receive my LED display (the upper ones are broken), so I currently can't see what I'm adjusting.

You do need the Jumper at W7, search for an old thread "F14 Tomcat Rom failure - Plonker at work"
I was that Plonker, but thanks to all the help I have received on here, occasionally I get the chance to pay something back!

I noticed the guy who posted a photo of the jumper has a resistor mounted on there. If I remember correctly, a resistor with a black band has zero ohms resistance. That means I can just bridge it with a piece of wire right?

Yup, a piece of wire will work just fine !
