    Quoted from cletus:

I don't know about the legality of it all, but if the artist ever saw it displayed somewhere... who knows.

Its on a pin in your basement...whats he going to do ? Sue you ? Not! Your not out making money on his print.

I hope I don't get in trouble for making that papercraft cabinet. Don't Print it!!! LOL

Copyright law is confusing and scary.
I wonder if hauling a pin off to a pinball show with copyrighted images on the cabinet would get to sued?

    #54 6 years ago

That's it, no more pinball parties at GRUMPY's house.

    Quoted from cletus:

That price is just for the rights to print it.
I guess, photographers want to make a living, too.

Tell you what, ill pull out my F14 Tomcat jet from my cottage hanger (its a little dusty but nothing that cant be cleaned with a little Windex ) and take it for a boot while someone takes some photos. Ill call my buddy who owns his own aircraft carrier and we can all meet down in the Gulf of Mexico and do a photo shoot. Then it will be our own intellectual property....

It takes a lot of time and money to successfully sue someone.

@grumpy, Here's a four-foot sized image at 80ppi. I never told you to use it.
I don't know if they make right-handed aircraft carriers, but whatever.

Thats truly is one hell of a cool image dont you think ?

    #63 6 years ago

@grumpy, print this on a letter (8.5x11) sheet of paper. That'll be pretty close to what the final result could look like.

It is pretty sweet looking, but tell me how you take a picture of a fighter jet flying up at you and somehow catch the aircraft carrier clearly in the background.

The biggest issues are getting the files done.

And what type/ brand of softwear do I need to use for the printers.

Try this place to see if they can print them. They might even offer to install.

Actually us down here in the lower 48, still consider MN to be Canada! LOL

They all differ a little so the best thing to do would be to find a local print shop and just ask them how the file needs to be supplied to go direct to print. If they have to work the file then thats where they will ding you.
