Perhaps try a customized mount. Certainly will detract from the original setup, but could be made to work.
A pin pcb board isn't much different than a computer motherboard. I'm willing to bet you can find a old computer case with a motherboard mount that you could attach to the pin and then use that to mount the pin board. With motherboard stand-offs, edge mounts, etc, I imagine a mount could be cobbled together fairly easily without having to drill the pin board. Just an idea
