    Quoted from WeirPinball:

Looks like I'm going to write off buying sterns - with the new price hike - I just cancelled my deadpool order - It's to a point where they crossed the line. Bummer because they have some titles I still wanted to get. Someone has to start saying no - Looks like I'll be one of them.

I'm with you. Plus, the QR scanner is gay.

P.s. I miss SAM era Stern.

    Quoted from NashtyFunk:

Look at Les Zeppelin LE and then Godzilla LE and tell me there’s not $1300 more value there.

Perhaps if LZ were the only other Stern to compare it to. That's not the case.

    Quoted from Kkoss24:

With pinball the smart thing to do would be sell every pin you have and wait it out but would any of us really do this ?

The temptation to sell at these prices is real, but what would I spend the money on? Everything else is inflated right now. And what's cooler to own than pins? And I don't love the idea of sitting on more fiat currency during an inflationary period. And if shit keeps inflating I'll never get them back.

    Ummm BUILD QUALITY hello?!?

B.S. What makes it built better than a Stern, or AP, or CGC?

    Quoted from Mark1971:

Happy to pay what ever Stern charges, I say if you can't afford it find a new hobby. Maybe collect beanie babies or Barbie dolls, you could start a collection of board games or you can get another job and stop crying because you are not successful enough to afford nice stuff. Either way less crying about pricing would be great because nobody cares if you have a game or not

Congrats. You win for most pretentious post. Many here could write a check for 100 NIB Sterns, but you won't see them all bend over with a grin for "whatever Stern charges". I, for one, have nice stuff because I'm not a total idiot with my money. If the price-to-value is slanted too far in the wrong direction I ain't buying.

    Quoted from Obed_Marsh:

Funny thing with that is I had a Kiss pro and while it's a pretty simple game, the build quality of the cabinet felt notably more solid than the Iron Maiden premium I had gotten brand new

That time period around Kiss is when a bunch of their cabinets were splitting. They are built better now.

    Quoted from Mrawesome44:

Honestly speaking I don't understand why people are so bent out of shape. If you don't like the price don't buy the product.

What you're not seeing is in order to do that it means to never buy a new Stern again. And for many of us who've been buying and enjoying NIB pins for years, mostly Sterns, it's a big disappointment. Getting excited about and buying the occasional new release is a big part of the hobby for many people. Once you're knocked out of that it's all old pins for you.

    Quoted from spandol:

I feel like this is already happening. Nobody is paying the scalper, even for as hot a game as GZ is. The price is dropping and people are a little ticked at scalpers.
