Quoted from brickbuilder14:If you owned a business and you sold out of ALL your product in 3 minutes wouldn’t you increase the price? Stern should absolutely price their LE at $12,000. Because the evidence has shown that $10,500 is too low given the demand.
I’m shocked that it is only 16% higher than their prices were pre March 2020. Have you checked your grocery bill? Or tried to buy new furniture? Or put in a new pool, or buy a used car? A 16% increase is much lower than I was expecting. One year from now LEs will be $11,500 and still be sold out

Hes not wrong, sadly.. I think its just the beginning...

    Quoted from PinBalt:

You think the QR code wants to have sex with you?

IS that on the feature matrix?

    Quoted from turbo20lbs:

$12,500 shipped to door for NIB TBL is looking cheaper and cheaper the past 6 months or so.

    4 years from now.

Let me known when you do standup, I'll cheer you on while you abuse me as an audience member

    Quoted from NPO:

Soon as my salary goes up roughly 15%, mid-year, due to inflation, I'll be square.
    [quoted image]

This is why, you don't get it.

    #725 2 years ago
    Quoted from underlord:

So does that mean when prices go back down so do pin prices? That’s a solid nope.
When things return to normal, and they WILL, these hikes will be forever.

Things really could be normal already, but some people, don't want that. They feed on the fear and lies.

    Quoted from Dr-pin:

Same here in sweden, it`s completely silly.
Well, better to put hobby on hold, start relocate founds to investing in farmland, gold or whatever, then when the economy goes down you`ll see games available for a fourth of the price, if your interest persist thru.

But yall got amazing free healthcare, paid for by taxes you support I would guess. Why are you complaining?

Can people ever state their opinion without interjecting a pin they have
“OMG 10500 is insane who would ever pay that? Glad I got one for 9500”
    LMAO

    Im DONE with NIB purchases..

Right after I get my Halloween...

    Quoted from JohnTTwo:

Barry stepped up and took care of me first class.
You are not acting first class.
    JJP+1

They why are there so many people still bitching? Why didnt they take care of my buddy, who has bought multiple JJP.

    NOT FIRST CLASS.

    #1074 2 years ago
    Quoted from JohnTTwo:

I don't know was he professional in his request? Calm, treat Barry with respect? Act like a spoiled kid? Freak out? Act like a Dbag online?
Probably lots of factors I have no idea on but can definitely tell you Barry and JJP did me 100% right, and it sure seemed to turn this summer. Playfields are good now, JJP customer service is up, awesome game, life is good for me.
After I get taken care of after complaining it is my duty to be honest and let folks know I was taken care of and in this case above and beyond thanks Barry and JJP!

He's not online. He asked for a fix
or replacementp PF. Asked for the stupid washers. Nothing. He won't be buying JJP again. Jack doesn't care if he does at any rate.

    Quoted from Ribs:

People who have full time office jobs with retirement accounts have been doing very well during COVID. They drive less, spend less on food, and have been going on less vacations all while their investments soared. Look at the S&P 500 since March 20th, 2020. Unfortunately most Americans cannot even afford a $500 windfall let alone have a 401k, and they have been put even further behind by having to carry most of the COVID burden.
Don't listen to posters like Zablon who make jokes about poor people buying iphones. They are clueless.

Wanna bet? Dude I know, barely works, got himself a shiny new iphone. Mooches beers off people(not me) at the local watering hole.

    #1140 2 years ago
    Quoted from CrazyLevi:

Can we stop pretending smart phones are some kind of a province of the rich that nobody else is entitled to in 2021?
Try getting a job without a smart phone. I know there’s a few crusty old here who claim they can live their best life without one but it’s pretty Much a basic neccesity in most walks of life these days, rich or poor. It’s not some luxury item where ownership somehow proves you are “gaming the system.”
It’s basically the same thing as a phone phone for you true geezers out here. Even poor people
Had a phone back in the day, right?

Smart phones for $300 and the latest and greatest iPhone for $1200 are 2 different things. My barely working aquantince has the top dog. Not saying he's gaming the system, but thats probably why he has to mooch beers...

    #1141 2 years ago
    Quoted from Ribs:

Yes, I would like to bet against somebody who uses their own personal anecdotal experience to generalize a massive demographic of people. I also have some bridges I'd like to sell you.

How much? Some deeproot buyers might be interested.

And if there is one, there are more, or have you been living under said bridge and don't get out much?

Yup. And I asked to be robbed so there’s that.

    Quoted from Gameseum:

Anywhere I'm seeing with older Stern stock has already upped the price (even without insider connect kits)
I don't think this was a Stern directive, just the ability to price gouge now that this is the direction things are going

While I appreciate your sentiment, you can't price gouge a toy.

    #1277 2 years ago
    Quoted from Zablon:

Funny, you seem to think that you can when regarding your gas hog You do realize that's a toy and unnecessary, and that those are companies too. Just out to make money, as much as they can.

What, gas isn't essential? And when we know WHY prices have gone up, it's even more bullshit. Stern didn't shut down lines in an effort to create a shortage. Obviously we know people that did with oil.

    #1287 2 years ago
    Quoted from Zablon:

Gas isn't essential in the way that other things are. And gas guzzlers certainly aren't and are indeed as much of a luxury as pinball. Don't get me wrong, I drive a truck and I complain about gas prices too, but gas and oil is constantly manipulated, and it is way beyond what you are blaming it on. Ask the Russians last year: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2020_Russia%E2%80%93Saudi_Arabia_oil_price_war
Pinball is at that weird stage where you would think there's too much competition, but the companies still don't seem to produce enough to meet demand. Resales continue to go up, and people continue to pay for it. It's quite an interesting time. While I complain about the price of pins too...at the same time I find it kind of cool that something I've been (felt) alone in being into for decades is huge again. At some point demand will eventually come back down, we just don't have a clue if it will be in 5 months, 5 years, 5 decades....or maybe they will magically always be sought after, and when they bury us with them, graverobbers will dig them up.

Your crazy. If gas isn't needed to get people to work so they can pay the bills and have a roof over their head, I don't know what is. Me? I can mostly work from home, but for those with no training or need to be onsite daily, it absolutely can cripple their lively hood after it rises 50%, IN 9 months...

    Quoted from WeirPinball:

Yea, after looking for a JP premium huo for my own use and not finding one under 12k I had to say enough is enough. Why let everyone else drive up the price when I can do it single handedly. Lets say for example you buy a pro from a distributor. They charge retail +100 + a shipment cost even though I'm picking up the game and not getting it drop shipped. Then you add on 7% OH taxes and you are now up to $7600. So I guess selling them for $7500 is ripping people off. That is not a made up number - true prices. I have people asking me to find all these nib games and alot are premiums and it is hard enough finding any pros in stock anywhere. So am I part of the problem? Yes
I've also called numerous distros just to hear "someone came in earlier this week and bought every NIB I had" or "we are going to the preorder only model". Demand is so high right now - never seen anything like it.

You are pretty lame. Seemed like you had so much conviction, yet bought for $600 or something...

That requires the internet to figure out. D'oh!

    #1369 2 years ago
    Quoted from P1nhead:

I listened to the hate on pinside ... then I gave in and ended up buying IC for all our games. I might get flack for it but stern nailed it with insider connect - demographic targeted perfectly, real innovation that didn't need Pin™ affixed before the product. Though PinConnect doesn't sound bad. Maybe we can get PinWeb™®© going and we can send emails from the pinball machine like my grandma used to do with webtv.

Admittedly, I let big brother know where I am playing GZ or IMDN or other Sterns on location. If course, he can get that same basic info from my phone, my car, and maybe my jab hah .
