F-14 Translite Question

Recently bought a project F-14 pin. It came with no translite. This is my first pin with a translite. I have already purchased a new translite. My questions are: What size and thickness of glass is needed? Are the trim pieces the only thing that holds the translite in place? Does it need a lift channel piece at the bottom? And lastly, who sells the channel/trim pieces? It is a latter model F-14. Thanks for the help.

Thanks for all the help.

1. The size of the glass is the size of the translite.
2. Thickness = 0.128"
3. You can use plastic instead of glass as found and hardware and big box stores. The glass is tempered and should be tempered.
4. Yes you need a lift channel at the bottom.

I think my old F-14 had plexiglass for the translight, about 1/8 or 3/16" thick. There was a lift channel on it and the translight was held in by electrical tape on the edges. (Don't think that's how it's supposed to be.)

Pinball life should have a lift channel.

Hopefully others chime in, as my game was a players machine and had a number of hacks throughout.
